Preparing For Furniture Delivery
In order to provide a safe and easy furniture delivery, we ask that you read the following:
- Can your street or apartment complex accommodate a 16-24 ft delivery truck?
- Can the furniture you purchased fit through all doors?
- Can your hallway allow our delivery team to fit through with your furniture?
- Can your furniture fit up your stairs?
Measure Your Furniture Before Your Delivery
In order to get your furniture to you as quickly as possible, please measure the room or area you plan to place your furniture in, as well as the furniture you plan to purchase, before making your purchase. To prepare, measure any doorways by (height, width, and length) through which the furniture will go through to get to its final destination in your home. As a general rule, identify any obstacles that may prevent us from delivering your furniture such as; does my ceiling have enough clearance?
Can or will my furniture clear the stairway, hallway, or elevator? Can the furniture be maneuvered around corners easily? In order to provide you with the best customer service, as a safety precaution, our delivery team does not hoist any furniture or carry furniture up more than 3 flights of stairs. All deliveries located on the 4th floor or beyond, must have elevator access. No exceptions.
Preparing For Delivery Day
Preparation is the key to a successful delivery. Please remove all pictures, door wreathes, home decor, etc. from all walls to prevent any and all damages. Please ensure that the area the furniture is going is free and clear of any items that may obstruct our delivery team from placing your furniture.
Please place your pets in a safe area or room of your home, some furniture pieces can be large and heavy and we do not want anything to happen to them by accident. Please note: Our delivery teams are not permitted to move your existing furniture (only exception, if a customer has requested our fee-based furniture removal service) any electronics, TV’s, or other household items and they cannot hang pictures, TV wall mounts, or mirrors on walls.
